Scars on Mehul Choksi’s body, lawyer claims, court stays extradition

In Domnica, Choksi’s lawyer Wayne Marsh has alleged that Mehul Choksi has been beaten up badly, his eyes swollen and there are many burns on his body. Marsh said that he is not being allowed to meet Choksi.

New Delhi: The East Caribbean Supreme Court has currently banned the extradition of India’s fugitive Mehul Choksi from Domnica. The court will hear again today at around 9 pm according to the time of Domnica. Marsh said that Choksi reported that Choksi was kidnapped at Jolly Harbor in Antigua and that he was brought to Dominica on a 60-70 feet ship. Those who kidnapped him were treated as Mehul Antiga police and Indian. Marsh said that as a lawyer he will do whatever he can to save Choksi. Mehul Choksi’s lawyer Vijay Agarwal said that some marks have been found on Choksi’s body. Because of this I feel something wrong. The lawyer said that it seems to me that a strategy has been made to take Mehul to India so that he can be sent to another country. The lawyer said that he does not know which forces are working.
