Advocate Nitin Vashisht, appearing for the victim and the complainant, submitted that Kumar should not be released on bail as the other accused are yet to be arrested. The international wrestler, who has been in jail since June 2, has requested the court for relief, saying that he has been wrongly implicated in this case. He said that the allegations leveled against him are aimed at humiliating him and tarnishing his image. In a petition, he said the “unfortunate death” of a budding wrestler was sensationalized and used against him by some people out of vested interests.
