Prime Minister Modi holds virtual COVID management meetings with PMs of states, Union Territories




New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a video conferencing review meeting with the chief ministers of seven states where Kovid 19 has suffered the most. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Punjab account for 5.5 per cent of the total cases. These states accounted for 77 percent of all deaths. In such a situation, Prime Minister Modi also discussed with the Chief Ministers of this state new steps to deal with Corona. During this period, Prime Minister Modi has given various sources of resistance to Corona. He said that with effective testing, tracing, treatment, surveillance and clear messages, we need to focus more and more. Effective messaging is also necessary because most infections are without symptoms. In such a situation rumors started flying. It begins to raise suspicions in the minds of ordinary people that testing is not bad at all. Not only that, some people make the mistake of underestimating the severity of the infection.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the facilities related to improved corona treatment in the past months have been helping us a lot in the fight against corona. Now we need to further strengthen the infrastructure connected to Corona, which is our health-connected, tracking-tracing network, to give them more training.

The Prime Minister said, “Every state should monitor the effectiveness of 1-2 days of local lockdowns in preventing corona. It is not because your state is having trouble starting economic activities. What is happening? I urge all states to think seriously about this.”
