PM Modi US Visit: Prime Minister Modi reached Washington, people waving the tricolor gave a grand welcome

PM Narendra Modi on his three-day visit to America reached Washington on Thursday at around 3:30 am, where he was accorded a grand welcome.

Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu received PM Narendra Modi. He was also received by Defense Attache including Brigadier Anoop Singhal, Air Commodore Anjan Bhadra, Naval Attache Commodore Nirbhaya Bapna and US Deputy State of Management and Resources TH Brian McCon.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, during this, Prime Minister Modi will review the India-US Global Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with President Biden and exchange views on global and regional issues of mutual interest. The Prime Minister will also meet US Vice President Kamala Harris and explore possibilities of cooperation between the two countries on various issues, especially in the field of science and technology.

PM Modi will conclude his visit with his address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on global challenges, especially the Kovid-19 pandemic, the need to tackle terrorism, climate change and other important issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen waiting outside Joint Base Andrews in large numbers with Indian nationals holding the tricolor in his hands before reaching Washington DC.

PM Modi tweeted and expressed his gratitude to the people of the Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome to him. PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “Grateful for the warm welcome to the Indian community in Washington DC. Our diaspora is our strength. It is commendable how the Indian diaspora has distinguished itself across the world.

When Narendra Modi has reached Hotel Willard Intercontinental in Washington DC, where people of the Indian community were seen standing to welcome him in Indian clothes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday tweeted a picture giving a glimpse of the inside of his plane on his way to America.

The Prime Minister tweeted a picture in which he was seen using the time to view files during the special flight. He tweeted, “A long flight gives opportunity to see papers and files.”

PM Modi left for America on Wednesday in an Air Force-1 Boeing 777-337 ER aircraft from Delhi. He will meet face-to-face with President Joe Biden in the US on Friday. The Prime Minister’s Office had released a picture of him before his departure. On Friday, Biden will host the first conference of the Quad nations. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga will also participate in this conference.
