He said that now in the next phase of Mission Amrit, the country aims to increase sewage and septic management, make our cities water secure cities and ensure that no dirty drains fall anywhere in our rivers. The PM said that the next phase of Swachh Bharat Mission and Mission Amrit is also an important step towards fulfilling the dreams of Baba Saheb. Babasaheb believed in urban development as a great means of removing inequality. We have to remember that cleanliness is only for one day, one fortnight, one year or only for some people, it is not like that. Cleanliness is a great campaign for everyone, every day, every fortnight, every year, generation after generation. Cleanliness is lifestyle, cleanliness is life mantra. When the country started the campaign in 2014, less than 20 per cent of the waste generated every day in the country was processed. Today we are processing about 70 percent daily waste. Now we have to take it to 100%. Today in this program related to urban development, I would like to discuss one of the most important companions of any city. These fellows are our street vendors, hawkers – street vendors. For these people, PM Svanidhi Yojana has come as a new ray of hope. He said that we have to make an India which is clean, prosperous and give direction to the world towards sustainable life.
