Study centers of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (Film) will be opened in all universities and approved colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Raj Bhavan has given the green signal for this. The Chancellor’s Special Officer has written letters to the Vice-Chancellors of all the universities in the State. Students will be able to enroll through these study centers under distance learning. Also the universities in the past where the course will be conducted will be admitted through the study center so that the students can do experimental work so that there is no problem.
Open University Vice-Chancellor Prof. KN Singh said that the central government’s objective is to have 50% of the students who have passed the Inter by 2030 enrollment. Currently only 26 percent of students who pass the inter course in the undergraduate course are enrolling. The open university has an important role to play in bringing the enrollment ratio in higher education to 50 percent. Study centers need to be opened in all state universities. Applications can be made from the university’s website to open new learning centers. Considering this letter, the Chancellor’s Special Officer Keur C. Sampath sent a letter to the Vice-Chancellors of all the universities in the State. It said all universities should run open university research centers on their own campuses.
The proposal was presented at the Raj Bhavan meeting on 16 November
Open University Vice-Chancellor Prof. KN Singh said the proposal was tabled before Chancellor-Vice-Governor Anand Ben Patel at a meeting at Raj Bhavan on November 18. After the Registrar Professor. GS Shukla also sent a letter to Raj Bhavan. It said that Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNU) is running centers in almost all the universities in the state. However, state universities are not interested in opening a research center at the only free state university in Uttar Pradesh.
