Aus vs Ind: Rohit Sharma opens his hands before Sydney Test, deadly batting practice in the net – Video

The fourth match of the four-Test Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground from January to January. Rohit Sharma is back in the squad for this Test match. Rohit has also been announced as the co-captain of the Test team. Cheteshwar Pujara was the co-captain of Team India in a match in Rohit’s absence. After the first Test in Adelaide, captain Virat Kohli returned to the country on paternal leave, followed by Ajinkya Rahane as captain and Pujara as co-captain in the Melbourne Test. Before the Sydney Test, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the third Test, with Rohit as the co-captain. Later, the BCCI also shared a video on the official Twitter handle, where Rohit was seen practicing heavily on the nets.

Sharing this video, BCCI wrote, ‘Wait is over, hit show Rohit Sharma’s show is going to open’. Rohit has been seen defending the net, driving straight and playing flick shots. Rohit is now expected to play in the Sydney Test. Now we have to see who gets his place in the team as an opener. Looking at Shubhaman Gill’s performance in the Melbourne Test, it looks like he will retain his place in the playing XI, but Mayank Agarwal, who is out of form, could be left out.

Mayank has failed to do much in the last two Tests and his form has been a headache for team management. Rohit’s arrival will further strengthen Team India’s batting order. The series is now tied at 1-1. Australia won the first Test by eight wickets, and India won the second Test by eight wickets. Whichever team wins in Sydney will take an unexpected 2-1 lead in the series
