Mumbai Police officers chase NCB officials, complain about meeting top officials

The officials of NCB, which is investigating the well-known drug case in Mumbai, have met senior officials of Mumbai Police and complained.

The incident took a political turn when Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik on Wednesday claimed the raid was fake and outsiders were involved. On Saturday, Malik alleged that the NCB detained 11 people but released three of them, including a close relative of BJP leader Mohit Bharti, within hours. An NCB official told the media on Saturday that the two men, whom Malik has described as outsiders in the raid, were actually among the nine independent witnesses involved in the action. They were both unknown to NCB prior to the raid.
