Kovid-19 protocol will have to be followed
All schools will have to follow all the Kovid-19 protocols issued by the government, which include social distancing, regular sanitization, wearing of masks at all times and other rules. According to Maharashtra’s School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, this is necessary for smooth transition from online to offline learning mode.
The minister said that the Maharashtra State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) will prepare an action plan and help the authorities to remove any impediments in the resumption of physical classes.
It is not mandatory for the students to attend the physical classes. At the same time, students who want to come to physical classes, they will have to bring consent letter from parents.
The decision to reopen schools in Maharashtra was taken after a survey conducted by the state’s school education department last month. According to the minister, more than 70 percent of parents wanted schools to reopen.
