Madhya Pradesh: Woman policeman gang-raped at birthday party, main accused’s mother also helped, 5 arrested

A case of gang-rape has come to light with a female police personnel.

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Police have arrested the main accused and his mother by registering a case against five people in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 30-year-old female constable in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh. Inspector Anuradha Girwal, in-charge of Mahila Police Station said that the incident started this month when the woman constable lodged a complaint on September 13, after investigation, a case was registered against the main accused and five people including his mother this week. He told that five months ago, the woman constable had a friendship with a young man named Pawan on Facebook and since then the young man was constantly talking with the woman. Pawan invited the woman to his younger brother’s birthday party, where the woman was allegedly raped by three men including Pawan. He said that the victim told that the accused also allegedly shot a video of the act and keeps threatening to make it public. The police officer said that the victim has also claimed that the mother of the main accused also threatened her and a relative of the accused also tried to extort money by threatening to kill her. He said that the victim is originally a resident of Neemuch and was earlier posted in Neemuch, whereas at present she is working in Indore district police. Police is investigating the matter in detail.
