Jammu and Kashmir: Five terrorists killed, one jawan martyred in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district

A police official said that after getting information about the presence of terrorists, security forces started a cordon and search operation in Hajin village of Rajpura in Pulwama district. In the initial firing, a jawan was injured, who died during treatment at the hospital, the official said. They sent additional forces to the spot and five terrorists were killed in the encounter. Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that the slain terrorists were related to Lashkar-e-Taiba and one of them was Nishaj Lone alias Tibet, the district commander of the organisation. He said one of the slain terrorists was a Pakistani but his identity is yet to be ascertained.
