An army official said, “We noticed some suspicious movement in Hathlanga area along the Line of Control. The infiltrators were challenged and three of them were gunned down. He said a large quantity of arms and ammunition including five assault rifles, seven pistols and grenades have been recovered. Briefing the media at the Army’s Chinar Corps Headquarters here, General Officer Commanding Lt Gen DP Pandey said that infiltration activities have increased recently from the other side of the Line of Control.

“However, there has been no infiltration since the beginning of the year. There have been some activities which could not have happened without the knowledge of the commanders of the Pakistan Army. Lt Gen Pandey said that this infiltration attempt was foiled and it was different from the previous attempt on September 18-19.
