Flipkart Big Billion Days New Date: Competition in the Indian e-commerce sector is set to intensify, as Walmart-owned Flipkart has started its ‘Flipkart Big Billion Days’ sale against its rival Amazon. Flipkart had earlier said on Tuesday that the eighth edition of Flipkart Big Billion Days will be held from October 7-12 this year. According to a statement, Flipkart has now announced to launch it from October 3 and the sale will now go on till October 10. Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said in a message to employees that Flipkart Big Billion Days is important for millions of sellers as they try to get their business back on track after the pandemic. He said that the event also generates massive employment in the supply chain. Email queries sent to the company in this regard did not get any response. A day earlier, Amazon India had said that it would start its month-long festive season – The Great Indian Festival – from October 4.

Both the companies have already come face to face with their sales events during the festive season. During this time, discounts, new offers and affordable options like EMI offers are given to the customers through various partnerships. Flipkart Group company Myntra is also organizing its ‘Big Fashion Festival’ from October 3-10.
