Lucknow. Mayawati, the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has once again questioned the central government’s Krish Bill. He said it would have been better if the central government had taken a decision with the confidence of the farmers. Mayawati wrote on Twitter on Thursday that during her tenure in Uttar Pradesh, the BSP had called several panchayats of farmers on a number of agricultural issues and decided in their interest only after consulting them. It would have been better if the central government had taken the decision only after taking the confidence of the farmers.
Earlier, Mayawati had written that two bills related to farmers had been passed in Parliament without removing all their doubts. Even the BSP does not agree with him. What do the farmers of the whole country want? It would be better if the central government pays attention to this.
It is learned that many opposition parties are agitating against the agrarian reform bill. Opposition parties also clashed in the Rajya Sabha on Sunday. Although the BSP has kept itself out of the fray despite being an opposition party, BSP supremo Mayawati has consistently opposed the party’s views on the issue.
Farmers’ organizations also decided to block the block on Friday in protest of the agriculture bill.
