Exemption for children below the age of 10 years coming to this state, will not have to do corona test

Children will no longer need a corona test to go to this state.

Guwahati: The Assam government has done away with the provision of compulsory COVID-19 test for children below the age of 10 years entering the state along with their parents who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This information was given by the government by issuing a notification on Monday. The latest notification issued by Anurag Goel, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Assam said, “Children below the age of 10 years as well as parents/guardians who have received both doses of the anti-COVID vaccine should not be allowed to come to Assam. However, the parents or guardians of the children, if they wish, can get the test done by paying money. Earlier, the state government had issued a notification doing away with the requirement of COVID-19 test for all passengers coming to Assam who have taken both doses of the vaccine.
