Earthquake: Cyclone alert in Odisha, Earth shakes in Arunachal here, magnitude of 4.5 earthquake

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale hit 237km NNW of Pangin, Arunachal Pradesh at 10:11 am today: National Center for Seismology

Earthquake: Earthquake tremors were felt in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday morning. Due to the earthquake in the early morning, people came in panic and came out of the house. The earth shook at a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pangin and adjoining areas at around 10:11 am. The tremors of the earthquake were felt in Arunachal Pradesh earlier on 19 September. The National Institute of Seismology had informed that the tremors were felt at 3:6 pm, 70 km north-west of Changlang in Arunachal. The magnitude of this earthquake was measured at 4.4 on the Richter scale and even at that time people were in panic due to the earthquake. On the other hand, people are in panic due to the shaking of the earth in Arunachal Pradesh, while here, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a bulletin on Saturday, in which a cyclone is currently in northern Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha till the evening of 26 September. The intensity of the developed low pressure system has been forecast, there is a possibility of a cyclonic storm in these states.

The Meteorological Department has said that the cyclone is likely to cross north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha in the next 12 hours. Apart from this, IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding change of weather and cyclone in both the states. The IMD said in a tweet, “Yellow alert for cyclone has been issued for North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha coasts.
