More than 81.39 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses given so far
So far, more than 81.39 crore COVID vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs through Government of India channel and direct state procurement. About 86 lakh doses are in the pipeline. More than 4.23 crore remaining doses are still available with the States/UTs.
A total reduction of 1,478 was recorded in the number of patients under treatment in 24 hours.
According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Friday, the death toll rose to 4,46,368 after 318 more deaths due to infection. Currently, 3,00,162 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country, which is 0.89 percent of the total cases. This rate is the lowest since March 2020. A total reduction in the number of patients under treatment was recorded in the last 24 hours by 1,478. The national recovery rate of patients is 97.78 percent, which is the highest since March 2020.
Went beyond two crores on 4th May and crossed three crores on 23rd June
Last year on August 7 the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakhs, on August 23, 30 lakhs and on September 5, more than 40 lakhs. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November. In the country on December 19, these cases had crossed one crore, on May 4 this year it had crossed two crore and on June 23, it had crossed three crore.
