The proposal of the transport department was approved at the Bihar cabinet meeting on Tuesday. A total of nine proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. According to the Cabinet Secretariat Division, the road tax exemption for commercial and state-registered vehicles has been waived for a period of 633 days at the cabinet meeting. The Cabinet approved a proposal to waive or consolidate road duty for a total of 3 days with relief to all commercial passenger and freight vehicle owners from 6 July 2020 to 6 September 2020. With this, it has been decided to waive the toll penalty from 21 March 2020 to 31 March 2021. At the cabinet meeting, the Child Heart Scheme was approved for free treatment of children with heart holes under additional health benefits for all. Besides, a proposal to create 226 posts in Ayurvedic College and Hospital of Patna has also been approved.
