Bhabanipur Assembly bypoll Results: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was leading by 58,389 votes after the last round of counting in the Bhawanipur assembly by-election and now the news of her victory is being received. I have won the Bhawanipur Assembly by-election by a margin of 58,832 votes and have won in every ward of the constituency, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said outside her residence in Kolkata. Mamta said that around 46% people here (in Bhabanipur) are non-Bengali. All of them have voted for me. People of West Bengal are also looking at Bhabanipur, which has inspired me. Mamta Banerjee said that since the elections started in Bengal, the central government conspired to remove us (from power). My leg hurt because I can’t contest elections. Election Commission said – victory should not be celebrated

Even before the declaration of the results of the by-elections in three assembly seats of West Bengal, the Election Commission has given clear instructions to the state government not to celebrate any kind of victory. The Election Commission has also asked the state government to ensure that all necessary measures are taken to prevent post-poll violence.

In a letter written by the Election Commission to the Bengal government, it has been said that during the counting of votes for the by-elections or after the results are declared, there should be no celebration.

Let us tell you that Bengal CM herself is contesting from Bhawanipur seat and TMC workers have been seen celebrating in many places regarding her victory. BJP had made Priyanka Tibrewal its candidate against Mamta from this seat.
