Goa Election 2022 Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that the party will project a Bhandari community man as its chief ministerial candidate during the Goa Assembly elections to be held early next year. Sisodia said that only once in the history of Goa after independence a Bhandari leader has become the Chief Minister and that too could only stay in office for two and a half years. “We want to give representation to the Bhandari community in the assembly,” he said. The AAP leader said that if the party comes to power in the coastal state, then Christians will also be given due importance in the cabinet and a person from the community will be made the deputy chief minister. The Christian community constitutes about 27 per cent of the population in the state.
