The Central Government has filed an affidavit in this regard in the Supreme Court. In the Supreme Court, the Central Government told that an ex-gratia amount of Rs 50,000 will be given to the families of those who lost their lives due to Kovid. However, the government also made it clear that this amount would be given by the state government. The Center also told the Supreme Court that this ex-gratia amount will continue in the future phases of the Kovid epidemic or till further notification. Along with this, it was also said that this amount will also be given to the families of those deceased who were involved in Kovid relief work. The Center also informed the Supreme Court about the process of giving compensation. According to this, the concerned families will be able to claim the amount of compensation through a form issued by the state authority along with specified documents including death certificate.
