The Delhi High Court had on June 4 dismissed Chawla’s plea challenging the 5G wireless network technology and imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on him and his co-petitioners.
5G Case:The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted a week’s time to Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla and two others to pay a fine of Rs 20 lakh imposed on them for misusing the process of law in a case challenging the 5G wireless network technology. The judge was hearing three applications filed by the actress. In these appeals have been made for refund of court fees, exemption from fine and ‘rejection’ of the word ‘rejected’ in the judgment. Senior advocate Meet Malhotra, appearing for Chawla, sought one week’s time to pay the fine, agreeing to which the court adjourned the hearing till July 12.
