In a letter to Shivraj Chauhan, he said that there is a need to enact a law for population control in Madhya Pradesh. Increasing population poses a big challenge to development, good governance and security. Madhya Pradesh had a population of 7.25 crore a decade ago, while in 2021 the estimated population of the state is about eight crore 75 lakh. In the last ten years, more than 15 crore population has increased in the state, which is much more than the western countries.
