-2 finely chopped onions
– 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder

How to make masala idli-
To make masala idli, first cut the prepared idli into small pieces. Now put oil in a pan and heat over medium heat. Now add all the tempering ingredients to the pan and fry it for about 30 seconds. When all the ingredients start to crack in the oil, cut the chopped onion paste and fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Fry the onion until it turns pink. After frying the onion add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes. Now add red chilli powder and salt and mix all the ingredients well. Now mix about half a cup of water in a pan and cook till the spices thicken. Stir this mixture continuously so that it does not get stuck in the pan.
Now add chopped idli and mix lightly so that the idli is not broken. When the spices are well mixed in the idli, take them out in a bowl, place the oregano on top and garnish and serve with tea.
