A year later I got a call from Ekta Kapoor, who asked me if I wanted to play the role of Radhika Mathu? I just said, “Shur.”

In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2014, Vidya also shared her experience, “Shoma, Bandana and Bhairabi worked so warmly. I was a new actor who never faced the camera. It didn’t even though I worked as an amateur on a TV show.”

Shoma Anand, Bhairabi Raichuria, Bandana Pathak and Ashok Saraf have also acted in Hum Punch. The show aired from 1995 to 2006. Vidya has now joined the list of the country’s most sought after actresses with hit films like ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘Kahani’ and ‘Tumhari Sulu’.
