Manoj said that many of our actors moved to Mumbai after ‘Dakat Queen’. Life turned out to be very difficult. At least we were doing theater in Delhi. Money was not available in Delhi, but friends were ready to help. They used to feed each other. We didn’t do any work in Mumbai. There was no money to eat. We didn’t even know when we would get food. The first four to five years were very difficult. The first three were the most difficult ones personally and professionally

Manoj further said that his father was not doing well at that time. The family also needed financial support. As the eldest son of the family, I was the one who had to take care of all the responsibilities. I had no job in Mumbai. The picture was very hard to find. There was no casting director then. We would go to the photo set in search of work. Occasionally went to the offices of film directors and producers. I was working hard to survive in Mumbai. I can say that I was in a lot of trouble when I was away from home. I will never forget this experience.
