New Delhi: National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut recently featured in the trilingual biopic ‘Thalaivi’ with iconic politician J. Played the role of Jayalalithaa. He says that even though he is a patriot, he has no immediate plans to join politics. During the conversation, when asked if she has any ambition to join politics, Kangana said, “At present I have no such plans. I firmly believe that no gram panchayat can win elections without working at the grassroots level. People can see through you. Understand simplicity. To enter politics, one needs to make real investment in people. If people want, I can think about it. If you see, people still love Jaya Maa long after her departure because she connected with the masses and helped them in every possible way. Continuing the conversation, Kangana also mentioned that she has paid a heavy price for speaking like a patriot. Responding to one of Raunak’s questions, Kangana said that I have lost many contracts because I talk about nation-building, loss of these contracts means loss on revenue. However, I chose my country over money. I have a very simple approach to life and they don’t have two faces.
