Bajaj Auto sales rose 11 percent in December

Automaker Bajaj Auto Sales rose 11 percent to 3,722,532 units in December 2020. The company gave this information on Monday. The company said in a statement that a year ago, in December 2019, it sold a total of 3,36,055 vehicles.

Domestic sales fell nine percent to 1,39,606 units from 1,53,163 units a year earlier, the agency said. In the month under review, total motorcycle sales in December 2019 rose 19 percent to 3,38,584 units from 2,84,802 units in December 2019. According to Bajaj Auto, exports rose 2 percent to 2,222,9226 units during the period, from 1,72,792 units.

Bajaj Auto exported 2.12 lakh vehicles to various international markets in September. However, in the July-September quarter of the current financial year, exports of the two-wheeler sector declined by 11 per cent to 4,1 in, 2,711 units from 4,622,690 units in the same period of the previous fiscal. Regarding the domestic market situation, he said that customer movement and search has increased in the company’s dealerships. “Based on feedback from the first few days of the festival season, we assume that our sales will be the same or slightly better than last year,” he said. Roy said the improvement in three-wheeler sales will depend on the state of economic activity.
